Vera V Almgren (Eskilstuna, 1995) is a composer and sound engineer working with dream logic, organic textures and tactile sonic details. She builds her music around the physical and tonal qualities of sea shells, glass beads, bark and stones and other objects that can be turned into playable software instruments. Vera is specialized in sound spatialization and multichannel setups. In May 2026, her debut album I Det Vassa Ljuset was released on Istid Records.
Vera is currently studying her master’s degree in electroacoustic composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockolm, and she has a background as a classically trained pianist and percussionist. Vera has earlier worked in the experimental performance scene under the name CNIDARIEL. She is also a part of the Deep Listening community.
Vera’s music has been played at Soundcinema Düsseldorf, Norberg Festival, Nordic Music Journeys Glasgow and Fylkingen. In 2025, received a Stim scholarship as well as a scholarship from Sverker & Birgittas Stipendiefond.
