Vera V Almgren (Eskilstuna, Sweden, 1995) is a composer, sound designer, and sound engineer working with dream logic and sonic images consisting of sea shells, glass beads, sticks, stones and other playable objects that can be turned into software instruments.
Her musical language has an energy that shifts between playful curiosity and solemn intensity and she loves to work with percussive rebounds, spatialization in multichannel systems and tactile sonic details.
In the spring of 2025, Vera graduated from the bachelor program in electroacoustic composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where she is currently studying her master’s degree. In 2025, she received a Stim scholarship as well as a scholarship from Sverker & Birgittas Stipendiefond.
Vera has a background as a classically trained pianist and percussionist and is also active in the experimental performance scene as the artist and music producer CNIDARIEL.
